Team Chaplain

DAN BOWYER _______________________________________________________________________________

Dan Bowyer of St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Stratford serves as Team Chaplain for the Stratford Warriors. Dan has loved the game of hockey since his dad took him to his first London Knights OHL game at the age of five while he was growing up in Lambeth, Ontario.  Dan worked in marketing for the Guelph Storm of the OHL during the 1997-98 season and considered studying sports administration before responding to the call to ordained ministry and studying at Huron University College in London.

Dan has served within the Anglican Diocese of Huron since his ordination in 2006.  In 2014 he was appointed to St. Paul’s, Stratford and came on board with the Stratford Warriors as Team Chaplain in 2015.  Dan visits practice to lead study at the request of Stratford Warriors team members once a month, provides a listening ear for players, staff and their families and assists with co-ordinating community outreach for the Hockey Club.  Dan and his wife make their home in Stratford and look forward to being a part of the Stratford Community for many years.
